Operations Specialist

About the role

Join FreightSaver, an Echo Logistics company, as an Operations Specialist and play a key role in keeping freight moving across North America. In this fast-paced position, you’ll work directly with carriers and customers to coordinate shipments, negotiate rates, build transportation partnerships, and ensure exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Cook, onboard, and dispatch carriers while negotiating rates.
• Manage customer loads, carrier assignments, and rate quotes.
• Track shipments and oversee pickup and delivery appointments.
• Utilize company systems to support daily freight operations.
• Demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree OR at least two years of full-time work experience
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and desire to succeed
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn company, software, and technology
• PREFERRED: 1+ year of freight brokerage, carrier sales, dispatch, carrier operations, or customer service experience
