Operations Research Analyst
About the role
The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is seeking a Full-Time Operations Research Analyst-NH-1515-03 to support test and evaluation (T&E) activities at AFOTEC/A-1, Kirtland AFB, NM. Ideal candidates are analytical professionals with experience in the Defense Acquisition System and acquisition lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Supports test programs from inception to close-out, ensuring technical adequacy and operational sufficiency.
- Facilitates ITD meetings and MWs to develop operationally realistic and testable designs and measures.
- Provides STAT and other support to test teams.
- Provides technical and scientific support to test teams in areas such as test design, test methods, measures, and analysis techniques.
- Ensures technically feasible test plans, analytically sound measures and methods, and supportable conclusions in test reports.
- Leads professional development and technical proficiency to maintain awareness of technological and policy trends impacting OT&E.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship Required.
- Designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program.
- Must meet 1515 Job Series requirements: 24 or more credit hours in Math or related subjects, including at least 3 hours in Calculus.
- Must meet DAWIA requirements applicable to the duties of the position.
- Must be of legal working age.
Qualifications
Qualified candidates should have expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, and quantitative problem-solving, with proficiency in Python and R for data processing, automation, and analytical modeling.
Skills
Proficiency in Python for data processing, automation, and analytical modeling, as well as R for statistical analysis, data visualization, and predictive analytics.

Pay
Salary Range is $76,463-$118,204, does not include locality pay.
