Operations Research Analyst

About the role

The Operations Research Analyst supports the design of optimal fulfillment solutions and serves as the subject matter expert on configuring and controlling them to operate at peak efficiency. They collaborate with various teams to gather on-the-ground learnings, advise on improving standard operating procedures, and deliver solutions that leverage data for tactical process optimization.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of ADUSA e-commerce fulfillment strategy and execution
• Collaborate with the Optimization team to design and improve optimal fulfillment models
• Work with counterparts in Tech to integrate and design fulfillment systems
• Collaborate with Data Science to improve tactical fulfillment processes
• Develop KPIs to evaluate solutions and monitor performance
• Identify and shape improvement opportunities with other ADUSA departments
• Contribute to a culture of partnership, collaboration, and continuous learning

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Continuous Improvement, or related fields
• Understanding of dynamic handling characteristics and constraints of material handling systems
• Experience with SQL and/or other data analysis approaches
• Familiarity with programming languages and simulation/modeling software
• Knowledge of equipment, subsystem, and system performance criteria
• Technical knowledge of fulfillment tools and systems
• Experience with data querying, mining, and dashboarding
• Knowledge of food safety and workplace safety best practices
• Ability to break down objectives into initiatives and actions
• Ability to learn quickly and provide timely, helpful information
• Thorough understanding of retail and e-commerce fulfillment processes
• Ability to transform complex data into actionable insights
• Openness to new ideas, systems, processes, and technology
• Systems-oriented thinking with understanding of IT systems and applications
• Experience with implementing/delivering automated fulfillment solutions

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a directly related field
• Successful demonstration of key abilities and knowledge as presented above

Benefits

Flexible/hybrid work schedule with 3 in-person days at core locations and 2 remote days.

Pay

• Salary Range: $75,040 - $112,560 (IL/MA/MD/NY)
• Salary Range: $86,320 - $129,480 (ME/NC/PA/SC)
