Operations Research Analyst

Lentech is hiring an Operations Research Analyst.

Responsibilities

• Conducting problem definition and gathering data requirements from stakeholders
• Communicating data analysis findings to stakeholders orally and in writing
• Conducting analysis of management and operational problems using operations research techniques
• Applying modeling and simulation to address decision analysis problems
• Conducting multiple objective decision analysis or cost benefit analysis in support of research objectives
• Conducting analysis using tools such as PANDAS, R, Excel and VBA, ARENA, OCTAVE, Tableau, Gurobi and CPLEX, EXTENDSIM, SAS, NETICA, stats models, Stata, MATLAB, or SPSS

Requirements

• Active and current TS/SCI w FSP through MD
• 10+ years of experience with conducting analysis of management and operational problems using operations research techniques
• 4+ years of experience with the application of modeling and simulation to address decision analysis problems
• 4+ years of experience conducting multiple objective decision analysis or cost benefit analysis in support of research objectives
• 4+ years of experience with PANDAS, R, Excel and VBA, ARENA, OCTAVE, Tableau, Gurobi and CPLEX, EXTENDSIM, SAS, NETICA, stats models, Stata, MATLAB, or SPSS

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field
• Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field

Skills

• Experience with developing and performing verification and validation of models to ensure adequacy
• Experience developing and delivering training materials for operations research techniques
• Experience briefing results and preparing written reports on analytic approaches and methodologies
• Experience with the use of machine learning and large language models to solve complex problems
