About the role

The Operations Manager Trainee (OMT) role at PDS Health is designed to help individuals gain the necessary skills and knowledge to independently manage a financially viable PDS supported dental office. The role involves engaging in and owning professional development through the OM Development Program, supported by a direct supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Model company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices based on the We Believe Behavioral Framework
  • Assess, hire, and retain team members through comprehensive training, supervision, counseling, and coaching
  • Resolve staff and patient issues by analyzing facts and developing solutions
  • Execute the PDS Operational Model to achieve office imperatives in partnership with the Owner Dentist
  • Drive year-over-year revenue and profit growth
  • Manage expenses to meet monthly goals and budget
  • Show proficiency and adherence to cash management and accounting protocols
  • Deliver effective leadership, coaching, and mentoring to team members
  • Maintain professional appearance and communication with direct supervisors
  • Implement an office success plan, including staff and office protocol development
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory bodies
  • Report weekly progress to the Regional Manager

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Five or more years of related work experience in operational management
  • Valid driver's license and automobile insurance or reliable alternate transportation
  • Knowledge of Dental Plans, insurances fees, administrative guidelines, limitations, and exclusions
  • Experience leading a team, mentoring, and coaching subordinates
  • Results-oriented, effective team builder, patient advocate, process-focused operator, financial acumen, influencer, and strong organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree
  • Five or more years of experience leading a team, mentoring, and coaching subordinates
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Applications, Epic, 1VU, BOX, and standard office equipment
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and make decisions under pressure
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively and present information, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to lead a team, prioritize duties, coach, mentor, write performance evaluations, conduct feedback, and handle team member relations issues
  • Strong sense of personal responsibility for tasks assigned
  • Strong commitment to educational advancement
  • Flexibility in adapting processes to meet unique needs
  • Strong organizational ability and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented, process-focused, proactive, patient-focused, and self-motivated

Compensation

This role will be a salaried position upon completion of the Operations Manager training program, with a compensation range of $24.00 - $33.75 per hour.
