About the role
The Operations Manager will play a critical role on our airport leadership team, reporting directly to the General Manager. This leader will be responsible for driving sales performance, exceeding KPIs, and leading a high-performing team of hourly Ambassadors in a dynamic, customer-facing airport environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead from the floor - spend 70% of your time in the airport environment, actively coaching, inspiring, and driving a culture of hospitality, member engagement, and sales excellence.
- Own all sales performance by setting, monitoring, and achieving daily, weekly, and monthly goals for membership growth, conversion, and revenue.
- Motivate and empower Ambassadors through hands-on coaching, daily huddles, and consistent feedback that builds confidence and accountability in selling CLEAR.
- Create a sales-first culture that celebrates wins, recognizes top performers, and fosters pride in connecting members to CLEAR’s value.
- Analyze KPIs and member insights to identify trends, inform strategy, and take decisive action to improve sales performance and the overall member experience.
- Assist with recruiting, training, and talent development - building a team of Ambassadors who excel at hospitality, embody the brand, and consistently deliver strong results.
- Ensure operational excellence and compliance, upholding CLEAR and TSA policies with the highest standards of security and integrity.
- Collaborate with the General Manager and partners to optimize station performance, aligning operational efficiency with ambitious sales and growth goals.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of leadership experience in high-volume, customer-facing environments (e.g., retail, hospitality, airport concessions, restaurants).
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals, KPIs, and team performance metrics.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills with a focus on sales accountability and performance management.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and influence others in a dynamic environment.
- Experience balancing customer satisfaction, sales performance, compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Comfort with technology and data, using tools to track performance and make informed decisions.
- Willingness and ability to work non-traditional hours including weekends, holidays, and early mornings or evenings.
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and follow airport, CLEAR, and federal security policies.
Pay
The base salary range for this role is $70,305 to $80,000 depending on levels of skills and experience. The base salary range represents the low and high end of CLEAR’s salary range for this position. Salaries will vary depending on various factors which include, but are not limited to location, education, skills, experience and performance.
