About the role
The Operations Manager shares responsibility for overseeing the complete venue, including staff management, money management, reporting, sales goals, inter-office communications, and upholding company policies and procedures. This role assists in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating personnel, as well as developing and motivating staff to meet performance standards. The Operations Manager addresses patron questions and complaints and ensures the venue meets cleanliness, compliance, and appearance standards.
Responsibilities
- Continually develop staff, including Floor Supervisors, in managerial and professional growth.
- Assist with recruitment, training, testing, and coaching of staff.
- Help create and meet sales goals while promoting teamwork through proactive interaction.
- Utilize effective time management and follow-up skills.
- Accommodate and anticipate guest needs while ensuring service standards meet AMG guidelines.
- Oversee successful execution of private events, catering, and banquets.
- Control cash and receipts by adhering to cash handling procedures.
- Prepare required paperwork, including forms, reports, and schedules.
- Ensure equipment is clean and in working condition through preventative maintenance programs.
- Verify products are received according to venue policies.
- Conduct conflict resolution, corrective actions, and coaching.
- Oversee and ensure timely completion of employee performance appraisals.
- Comply with federal, state, and municipal health, safety, and labor regulations.
- Ensure nightly and weekly opening/closing duties are followed.
- Fill in where needed to maintain guest service standards and efficient operations.
- Provide administrative support and promote mutual company growth with partners.
- Recognize and address intoxicated or disruptive guests, complying with alcohol management policies and state/federal liquor laws.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (College degree preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in the entertainment industry, specifically in high-volume restaurants/bars.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- 21+ years of age.
- Possession or ability to obtain all state-required work cards.
- Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standards.

- Work varied shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Expected to work 40-50 hours weekly, with schedules dependent on business levels, special events, and holidays.
