Operations Manager, Frozen Fulfillment

About the role
The Fulfillment Operations Manager will oversee and optimize the end-to-end fulfillment process within the facility. This role involves coordinating and managing inventory, order processing, shipping, and logistics, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment, member experience, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of front-line supervisors and 20-50+ hourly Thrivers, embodying Thrive Market values
- Uphold compliance, productivity, quality, safety, and teamwork standards as the primary source of information
- Implement engagement and fulfillment strategies to motivate employees and align them with operational goals
- Maintain performance standards and consistent processes to guarantee reliable services
- Strategize and execute fulfillment and continuous improvement objectives, communicating these clearly to supervisors
- Collaborate with carriers to optimize shipping processes and ensure timely deliveries
- Provide coaching and development opportunities to supervisors and employees to enhance performance
- Oversee productivity hours and manage payroll functions to ensure efficient operations
- Source and screen talent in collaboration with People Operations to maintain a skilled workforce
- Analyze performance reports to identify areas for improvement and provide coaching to supervisors
- Set clear goals, promote accountability, and exemplify strong performance to support operational mission
- Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment
- Drive fulfillment operation strategy to ensure Thrivers are engaged, motivated, and working toward results
- Ensure the team follows core performance standards and established processes for a consistent member experience
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock for fulfilling orders
- Implement and maintain effective inventory control measures to minimize errors and discrepancies
- Collaborate with the procurement team to optimize stock levels and manage inventory turnover
- Develop and implement streamlined order processing procedures
- Oversee order fulfillment and address bottlenecks in the process
- Coordinate with carriers and logistics partners to optimize shipping processes
- Monitor tracking systems and movement of goods to ensure on-time deliveries
- Oversee and enforce quality control measures to ensure accurate and error-free order fulfillment
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address and resolve product quality issues
- Drive the development of supervisors and Thrivers
- Serve as the subject matter expert on coaching, counseling, and developing fulfillment Thrivers
- Own outbound operation productivity hours and payroll functions to align with Thrive Market values
- Work in a cold/freezer environment and multi-temperature settings ranging from -10°F to 40°F, including outside ambient temperatures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred) or high school diploma/equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highest levels of integrity and ethics
- Dedicated to quality and high standards; supportive of company values
- Proficient in using G-Suite applications
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment and understand Warehouse Management Systems (e.g., Highjump)
- Minimum of 5-10+ years of proven leadership/supervisory experience within a fulfillment center, distribution center, or manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to lead process improvements using lean or Kaizen techniques
- Ability to quickly adapt and drive results using data

Pay
The starting salary range for this position is between $85K - $100K. Salary may increase over time based on skill, level of responsibility, additional duties, seniority, quantity or quality of production, or other legitimate business-related factors. Total compensation includes base salary, stock options, health and wellness benefits, flexible PTO, and relocation assistance.
