Operations Manager/Engineer, Energy Field Operations

About the role

The Operations Manager/Engineer, Energy Field Operations at Vorto is responsible for owning regional frac transportation execution, driving KPIs, managing carrier networks, and designing AI-enabled workflows. This role combines frac engineering experience, logistics expertise, and systems thinking to build scalable processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Own regional frac transportation execution to ensure customer capacity commitments are consistently met
• Drive regional KPIs including utilization, turn times, carrier performance, safety metrics, and cost per stage
• Maintain complete visibility and accountability for fleet and asset status, including readiness, custody, and maintenance requirements
• Build and manage a high-performing regional carrier network through recruiting, onboarding, training, and performance management
• Design and deploy AI-enabled workflows for carrier sourcing, dispatch optimization, onboarding, compliance, and field communications
• Own regional financial metrics including cost analysis, pricing awareness, capacity planning, and strategic growth support

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• 3+ years of experience in a technical engineering role
• Oil & Gas field experience
• Systems-oriented mindset with ability to build workflows
• Comfort working with AI tools and automation platforms
• Ability to operate independently in high-ambiguity environments
• Willingness to travel up to 25% within region

Preferred Items

• Prior experience as a frac engineer
• Experience coordinating multi-well/high-volume completions
