About the role
Insurance Operations Intern Gain hands-on experience where accuracy, service, and problem-solving come together to support our members when they need us most. As an Operations Intern, you’ll contribute to meaningful projects, learn from experienced professionals, and build a strong foundation in insurance operations. Modern Woodmen of America is one of the nation’s largest fraternal benefit societies, with assets over $18 billion. Fraternals are unique membership organizations that pair the “member-owned” characteristic of a mutual insurance company with the “social mission” characteristic of a service organization. They unite individuals with common bonds, provide a variety of life insurance and investment products, and form one of the nation’s most effective volunteer networks.
Responsibilities
- Gain valuable knowledge of certificate administration which includes application submission, underwriting, certificate maintenance, disbursements, conservation and claims.
- Collaborate with operations team members on process improvement initiatives and special projects.
- Research, review and follow up on files and reports.
