About the role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Operations & Human Resources Assistant to join our team. This position is designed to provide approximately 50% Operations support and 50% Human Resources support; however, the allocation of responsibilities may vary based on the needs and priorities of both departments. The Assistant will provide day-to-day administrative and organizational support across both functions, helping ensure that employee needs, operational processes, reporting, and internal projects are handled efficiently and consistently.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across multiple areas of the firm, managing competing priorities, maintaining confidentiality, and providing reliable support to both the Operations and Human Resources functions.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail.
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with employees, managers, attorneys, and leadership.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and discretion when handling Operational and HR matters.
- Work independently while also collaborating effectively with various departments.
- Follow all firm policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
- Take on additional Operations and HR projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in office administration or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in Operations, HR, administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience supporting both Operational and HR functions is highly preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Teams, and other business systems.
- Ability to learn and work effectively within firm-specific software and databases.
- Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities and meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and follow-through skills.
