Responsibilities
- Operates Aseptic filling machines and associated machines to maximize product quality and efficiency.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area, stocking supplies and materials for the next shift.
- Assists with routine maintenance on filling machines, working with and communicating with Maintenance and Management.
- Assists in relieving other production team members for breaks and absences.
- Performs quality checks, including weight checks, machine checks, sterility checks, and package integrity checks.
- Troubleshoots and resolves basic to moderate operating difficulties involving area equipment.
- Prepares and completes all area paperwork with legible handwriting as required by the FDA.
- Maintains operational efficiencies, yields, scrap loss, and other key indicators to improve plant productivity.
- Ensures the work area is always audit-ready and wears appropriate PPE when required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Basic math skills
- Working knowledge of business, computer, and math
- Mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of GMP's, HACCP, and SQF programs
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve moderate to complex issues
- Understanding of all procedures with all allergens
- Ability to follow GMP's and Safety Procedures established by Management
- Ability to make quick and accurate decisions that aid in production
- Ability to work around major allergens
- Ability to climb/walk steps frequently
