Operator (Hourly)

About the role

Full-time Operator position in Chester, VA.

Responsibilities

• Moving materials in a safe and orderly way using equipment.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience with operator certifications.
• Understanding of safety and general constructability knowledge.
• Able to work side by side with the team when necessary and demonstrate ownership of assigned tasks.
• Maintain professionalism.
• OSHA 10 training at minimum (OSHA 30 preferred).
• Forklift (all kinds) and fall protection trained.
• Mobile elevated work platform trained (boom and scissor).
• Must be agile/mobile, remain alert, able to stand or walk for long periods, use fingers, hands & arms to reach, handle and manipulate objects, climb up/down ladders, scaffolds, and other objects.
• Able to work on uneven surfaces/heights.
• Able to read/write, and can see & hear well either naturally or with correction.
• Able to lift and carry materials of all shapes and sizes weighing 50–100 lbs., 75% of the time.
• Employment contingent upon passing a mandatory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) screening.

Qualifications

• Experience with operating a skid steer and water truck is a huge plus.
• Must be able to work in an OSHA compliant safety environment.
• Must be able to work outside.
• Must be able to work overtime and weekend hours.
• Punctuality and promptness required every day.
