Position Overview
The Operations Engineering Specialist I - Special Missions position is located in Brunswick, GA. Experience interpreting G550 blueprints is preferred but not required.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in operations engineering or similar field
- Experience with G550 blueprints preferred
Job Description
- Provide and maintain detailed work instructions, drive quality improvements, efficiency improvements, material presentation enhancements, manage the daily work plan, provide metrics for quality and schedule performance, and coordinate engineering and tooling changes as required to meet Operations goals. - Contribute to the planning, developing and coordinating of important manufacturing and engineering projects aimed at process development and improvement in the manufacturing areas. - Provide specialized technical assistance and training to Operations Engineering team members. - Use advanced techniques and modified extension of theories to provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems that affect the successful manufacture of the aircraft, installation of systems, or performance of the final product. - Determine and develop individual approach to solutions within schedule and cost objectives. - Act as liaison with representatives from other organizations and suppliers. - Actively work to improve daily processes and ensure all work meets customer requirements. - Maintain a current knowledge of developments in the field of specialty and/or other related aircraft fields in order to recommend innovations to improve quality and effectiveness of processes and company product.
