Operations Specialist
Serves as the liaison
Serve as the liaison between client service and the custodian for all operational inquiries – i.e. managing client onboarding, ACAT transfers, money movement requests and general account maintenance.
New Account Applications
Prepare new account applications and ensure all documentation is complete, accurate and compliant prior to submission. Monitor the progress through completion.
Account Updates and Requests
Coordinate with client service to gather required client information and resolve onboarding issues
Process account updates and service requests and troubleshoot/resolve rejected, delayed or not in good order requests.
Custodian Interaction
Interact with custodian daily via phone or online portal to status and remediate custodial requests.
Client Service Updates
Provide timely updates to client service team and deliver a high level of professionalism and responsiveness.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 3-5+ years of experience in RIA, broker-dealer, or financial services operations
- Hands-on experience with Schwab Advisor Center (or similar custodial platform) is preferred
- Experience with back-office custodial operations, i.e. client onboarding, account maintenance, asset transfer, etc.
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong research, problem solving and critical thinking skills, with ability to synthesize and interpret data quickly
- Genuine interest in financial markets and wealth management
- Excellent interpersonal skills and desire to be a dynamic team player
