Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinates subordinate activities to meet established training requirements.
- Executes flight mission planning, briefs, and debriefs.
- Develops up to date accurate documentation and reports to reflect team activity.
- May participate in the planning, selection, retention, and development of staff.
- Represents the team to management and gives presentations as required.
- Leads and provides oversight with facilitating flight planning.
- Ensures all required training and administrative tasks are complete.
- Conducts risk management.
- Administers and executes briefings.
- Develops and presents accurate and timely reports and pre/post flight briefs.
- May participate in the planning, selection, retention, and development of staff.
- Operates as a visual observer at all times of aircraft while operating in specified airspace and advises the aircrew of hazards.
- Collaborates with applicable airspace to facilitate UAS access and utilization of necessary airspace to support operational requirements.
- Provides flight authorization and scheduling support/qualified Aircrew, including preparing and updating, submission and oversight of CBP mission activities prior to execution.
- Observes all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
- Works in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a Bachelors degree in a technical field as well as six or more years progressively complex technical experience.
- May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
- Must demonstrate an understanding of mission deployment including flight mission planning, briefs and debriefs, risk management and U.S. deployment briefs training.
- Ledgership skills including organizing, scheduling, and coordinating workloads to meet established deadline or milestones.
- The ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment.
- The ability to resolve non-routine management and problems.
- Good verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings.
- Good interpersonal skills to effectively interface with all levels of employees and management.
- The ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Good computer skills.
- Able to obtain and maintain an Active CBP security clearance.
