Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinates subordinate activities to meet established training requirements.
  • Executes flight mission planning, briefs, and debriefs.
  • Develops up to date accurate documentation and reports to reflect team activity.
  • May participate in the planning, selection, retention, and development of staff.
  • Represents the team to management and gives presentations as required.
  • Leads and provides oversight with facilitating flight planning.
  • Ensures all required training and administrative tasks are complete.
  • Conducts risk management.
  • Administers and executes briefings.
  • Develops and presents accurate and timely reports and pre/post flight briefs.
  • May participate in the planning, selection, retention, and development of staff.
  • Operates as a visual observer at all times of aircraft while operating in specified airspace and advises the aircrew of hazards.
  • Collaborates with applicable airspace to facilitate UAS access and utilization of necessary airspace to support operational requirements.
  • Provides flight authorization and scheduling support/qualified Aircrew, including preparing and updating, submission and oversight of CBP mission activities prior to execution.
  • Observes all laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
  • Works in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree in a technical field as well as six or more years progressively complex technical experience.
  • May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
  • Must demonstrate an understanding of mission deployment including flight mission planning, briefs and debriefs, risk management and U.S. deployment briefs training.
  • Ledgership skills including organizing, scheduling, and coordinating workloads to meet established deadline or milestones.
  • The ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment.
  • The ability to resolve non-routine management and problems.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings.
  • Good interpersonal skills to effectively interface with all levels of employees and management.
  • The ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Able to obtain and maintain an Active CBP security clearance.
