Operations Director - ROHO
About the role
The Operations Director - ROHO will lead manufacturing operations, focusing on performance and talent development. They will drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, aligning operations with business objectives and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Align manufacturing operations to meet or exceed site, regional, and global business objectives
- Develop and maintain an effective organization through the selection, training, development, compensation, and motivation of the Operations team
- Drive a continuous improvement culture to optimize productivity and capacity
- Communicate with all individuals or teams as necessary to ensure all employees have a clear understanding of company direction, goals, and activity specific to the achievement of objectives
- Develop and lead associates through active coaching and target setting while cultivating a high performing team culture; empowered, engaged, and results-driven
- Monitor metrics and ensure control plans, corrective actions, and root-cause tools are being used to drive improved performance
- Exceed customer expectations in quality, cost, delivery, service, and project launches all while collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Ensure compliance of manufacturing operations within the site; SOP’s, FDA regulations, ISO standards, GMP, OSHA, etc.
- Develop, allocate, and work within established budgets, managing activities to control spend and maximize profits
- Provide analysis and input in development of business plans to achieve best in class operations including investment requests (CapEx) and return on investment
Requirements
Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership in a manufacturing environment. Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering discipline and/or training or equivalent combination; master’s degree in business preferred. Demonstrated experience applying Lean manufacturing tools. Successful track record planning, executing, and achieving strategic growth plans. Experience in a regulated environment, with a strong quality mindset. Experience leading positive cultural change, organizational effectiveness and creating a high performing culture. Medical Device industry experience a plus. Strong background in continuous improvement with heavy focus on process improvement.
