Operations Director
Operational Leadership
Champion a culture where safety is the top operational priority by ensuring adherence to all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Oversee day-to-day operations across manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, and distribution.
Ensure production targets are met in a timely and cost-effective manner while maintaining product quality.
Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for all operational functions.
Deliver measurable improvements in productivity, quality, and cost through structured improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen).
Strategic Planning & Execution
Develop and execute strategic plans aligned with company goals.
Identify growth opportunities, including new markets, partnerships, and product lines.
Collaborate with executive leadership on business development initiatives.
Financial Oversight
Support company P&L objectives, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Analyze operational costs and implement cost-saving measures.
Ensure compliance with financial, regulatory, and reporting standards.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and develop cross-functional teams (Production, Logistics, Engineering).
Foster a high-performance culture focusing on accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
Recruit and develop top talent to support growth and operational excellence.
Customer & Supplier Relations
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and partners.
Ensure customer satisfaction through timely delivery and exceptional service.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors and logistics providers.
Technology & Systems
Oversee optimization of ERP, MRP, and other operational systems.
Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in operations or general management, preferably in a tech manufacturing/distribution setting.
- Proven history in managing complex supply chains and high-mix low-volume manufacturing operations.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing P&L.
- Familiarity with ISO standards, Lean Manufacturing, and Quality Management Systems.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills.
Pay
The typical estimated total compensation for this position is $230,000 – $290,000 per year depending on experience. This includes salary $200,000 - $250,000 and uncapped monthly commission, and potential bonus opportunities. The bonus opportunities for this position can be tied to company, location and/or individual performance, but no specific amount is guaranteed.
