Position Summary We're seeking an experienced, hands-on Director of Operations to lead the day-to-day operations of our contents restoration business. This role combines operational leadership (scheduling, staffing, safety, process) with hands-on project coordination (job execution, subcontractor management, cross-team communication) into a single seat. You'll be the operational backbone of the company — the person who ensures every job runs smoothly, safely, and to the standard our customers expect, while managing the team that delivers it. This is a high-visibility, high-ownership role reporting directly to the owner, with real opportunity to grow into a more senior operating role as the company scales. Key Responsibilities Day-to-Day Operations: Manage resource scheduling across all active jobs, balancing core staff with temporary surge labor during high-volume periodsOwn hiring, onboarding, and performance management for field staffDrive front-line accountability for on-time, on-budget job execution Quality With Efficiency Define and uphold what "white-glove" service looks like in execution. It's not just what we say, it's what we do.Balance speed and cost against our customer experience standardImplement quality-control checkpoints (spot checks, customer feedback loops, job close-out reviews) Process, Safety & Execution Standards Maintain and enforce SOPs for packout, cleaning, storage, and transportOwn safety compliance — proper handling procedures, training records, documentationServe as the process owner who keeps execution consistent as the company grows Facility Safety & Cleanliness Oversee warehouse/facility standards in close coordination with the Warehouse CoordinatorEnsure facility conditions meet safety and operational requirements Job Coordination — Managing The Moving Parts Vet and select the right subcontractors for jobs requiring outside labor or specialty servicesServe as the communication hub between our team, mitigation/reconstruction contractors, and customersPrevent delays and miscommunication that could compromise the customer experience What Success Looks Like Jobs run on schedule, on budget, and to our quality standardResource utilization stays at or above current benchmarksSafety incidents and process deviations trend downCustomers consistently report a calm, well-managed experienceOperational capacity grows to support increased monthly volume Qualifications 5+ years in operations management, ideally in restoration, construction, field services, or a related project-based industryProven track record managing both people (scheduling, hiring, team leadership) and projects (multi-party coordination, vendor/subcontractor management)Strong safety and process orientation — comfortable building and enforcing standardsExcellent communicator, able to represent the company well with customers and outside contractorsThrives in a fast-moving, variable environment with competing prioritiesExperience in restoration, insurance claims, or contents/property management industries a plus Compensation $85,000–$95,000 base salary, commensurate with experience. Performance based bonus plan.
