About the role
This entry-level position provides overall coordination to ensure all company goals are met for a particular operation(s) and client(s). The role involves participating in contracting activities with Independent Contractors (IC’s) who provide delivery equipment and transport products from our clients’ locations to designated destinations as requested by the customer.
Responsibilities
- Monitor routes to ensure coverage, IC check-in is complete, and routes run on time; communicate status to the customer.
- Create routes pursuant to customer requirements.
- Ensure ICs who accepted dispatch provide delivery services; communicate changes to dispatch and ICs as needed.
- Monitor the dispatch board to ensure customer-requested delivery times are met; communicate delays or problems to the customer and dispatch department.
- Ensure ICs provide services using the vehicle type requested by the customer.
- Enforce compliance with IC log-in processes and EC-mobile.
- Work directly with ICs to resolve issues encountered while under dispatch.
- Arrange STAT coverage for customers as needed.
- Restructure routes as requested by the customer to ensure on-time execution.
- Ensure ICs provide contracted delivery services in compliance with customer regulations.
- Assist with contracting of ICs as needed.
- Complete daily service reports as required by the customer.
- Create and process administrative reports and paperwork as directed.
- Follow up with ICs to ensure their paperwork is up to date.
- Ensure ICs wear uniform shirts with visible ID badges, as required by customers for identification and security.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Basic MS Office Programs (Outlook, Excel, and Word) experience required.
- Proactive and resourceful with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize competing tasks or demands that may be deadline-driven.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean, functional vehicle.
- Ability to develop and maintain meaningful business relationships with customers.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
- Ability to work overtime as necessary.
Qualifications
- College Degree or a High School Diploma with an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred.
Schedule
- Shift Days: Monday through Friday
- Shift Hours: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Available to work extra hours, weekends, and holidays preferred.
Pay
$19 – $21 per hour (dependent upon experience level).
