Operations Associate -Fixed Income Settlements

What You'll Be Doing

• Aid in driving departmental results for the Fixed Income Settlements Team.
• Aid in ensuring proper exchange of money and securities occurs by reviewing open trades.
• Collaborate with team members to execute on departmental objectives under direct supervision while following established procedures.
• Process, create, and enter data into systems to be utilized by Financial Advisors and branch staff.
• Identify potential problems or issues and escalate to department leadership if necessary.
• Develop effective communication skills within the department.
• Provide timely updates on progression of job responsibilities to leadership.
• Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Maintain accurate records of unsettled trades and proactively follow up until settlement is confirmed.
• Inquire about trades with other departments to determine reason for delayed settlement.
• Attain foundational knowledge of fixed income settlement regulations and complete all required trade documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience

• Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum Required: 0-2 years' professional business related experience

Systems & Technology

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
