Operations Associate - Cash & Reconciliation

About the role

A top-tier multi-strategy hedge fund is seeking an Operations Associate to join its Cash & Reconciliation team. This role offers exposure across a wide range of asset classes, counterparties, and trading strategies while partnering closely with Trading, Technology, and Operations teams. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of cash and position records, investigating complex reconciliation breaks, and helping drive operational efficiency across a sophisticated global investment platform.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cash and position reconciliations across internal systems, prime brokers, custodians, and third-party platforms.
• Investigate, analyze, and resolve reconciliation breaks across multiple accounts, counterparties, and asset classes.
• Escalate outstanding exceptions and partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
• Respond to operational inquiries and ad hoc requests from key stakeholders across the firm.
• Identify process inefficiencies and contribute to automation and operational improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience within investment operations, fund operations, middle office, trade support, or financial services operations.
• Experience supporting hedge funds, asset managers, brokers, or other institutional investment firms preferred.
• Exposure to asset classes such as Equities, Fixed Income, Credit, Derivatives, Futures, FX, or Rates is highly desirable.
