Operations A&E Specialist 1

About the role

As an Operations A&E Specialist, you will be at the forefront of innovation and design to create next-generation avionics and electrical builds. Daily tasks will require the use of your related degree to maintain, modify, and create start-to-finish aircraft builds. Activities include wire harness build, modification, and verification; circuit card build and modification for aircraft communication systems and essential bus operations; and high-level software load and manipulation to debug issues and test functionality. All tasks require the highest level of quality to ensure a long-lasting and safe product.

Responsibilities

• Use hand tools such as side cutters and wire strippers for basic fabrication of simple wire harnesses.
• Operate equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, and spectrum analyzers for circuit testing.
• Provide feedback to Engineering on parts, assemblies, and installations.
• Perform on-aircraft and component-level troubleshooting, pitot static calibration, and software load.
• Fabricate flight articles with minimal supervision.
• Fabricate non-flight critical test articles and components.
• Work in a team environment to achieve common goals.
• Demonstrate proficiency in several foundational skills.

Requirements

• 2-year related degree or military background and 1 year of related experience.
• Airframe & Power Plant license is preferred.
• IPC-620 training.
• IPC-610 training.
• Ability to work in a group environment.
• Ability to effectively manage stress, including competing work demands and multiple projects at the same time.

Pay

Salary Range: USD $24.07/Hr. - USD $36.10/Hr.
