About the role

The Operational Program Director (OPD) will lead and coordinate the programs that serve individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health diagnoses, medical needs, and/or autism spectrum disorders. This role combines direct care and supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership and coordination of overall programs
  • Supervision of staff in the human service field
  • Ensuring all direct service shifts are filled by qualified staff
  • Occasionally working direct service shifts, but not exceeding 16 hours per week without prior arrangement
  • Communicating with supervisors about schedule adjustments if needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or related field preferred
  • Three years’ experience supervising staff in the human service field
  • Valid United States Driver’s License with acceptable motor vehicle background check
  • Valid liability vehicle insurance with reliable transportation
  • Ability to complete personal cares and lift/tranfer
  • Ability to transport individuals served in the community
  • Good decision-making, time management, and communication skills
  • At least 18 years of age, with some programs requiring at least 21 years of age per Minnesota requirements for children foster care licensed programs

Qualifications

  • Designated Manager status per 245D licensing requirements in MN
  • Valid United States Driver’s License with acceptable motor vehicle background check per Dungarvin, Inc’s policy
  • Valid liability vehicle insurance with reliable transportation
  • Ability to complete personal cares and lift/tranfer
  • Ability to transport individuals served in the community
  • Good decision-making, time management, and communication skills
  • Responsible and flexible

Pay

Starting Salary: $65,000.00 - $66,787.50 annually

Note: Current employees of Dungarvin are not eligible for the sign-on bonus associated with this position.

Schedule

Full-time organizational position (may be part-time within any given home)

Schedule must be flexible to accommodate various program, individual, and staff needs

On-call at all times; unless prior arrangements have been made for someone of comparable authority to receive emergency calls
