About The Role
Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Operational Administrator to support the Gas and Chemical Systems (GCS) team in Taylor, TX. This position plays a critical role in maintaining documentation, managing commissioning records, supporting safety and quality approvals, and ensuring accurate recordkeeping throughout the lifecycle of manufacturing and construction projects. This role is located on an active construction site and is ideal for candidates with experience supporting manufacturing, construction, engineering, or industrial operations environments. You'll work closely with Safety, Engineering, Operations, Maintenance Technicians, Construction, Controls, and Systems teams to ensure documentation remains accurate, accessible, and compliant.
Responsibilities
- Organize, maintain, and categorize physical and electronic project files.
- Scan, upload, index, and manage documentation within digital record management systems.
- Retrieve, distribute, and track project records and file movements.
- Compile documentation packages required for equipment commissioning, safety approvals, and quality validation activities.
- Coordinate approval workflows and maintain accurate system signoff records.
- Validate that records are properly archived and stored in designated long-term digital repositories.
- Review documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
- Perform routine audits of files and records to ensure data integrity.
- Support scheduling of safety and quality validation activities.
- Protect confidential company information and follow all data security procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous administrative, clerical, document control, or office support experience.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, construction, engineering, or technical environment.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
- Experience with databases, electronic document management systems, or records management software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting commissioning, construction, or manufacturing projects.
- Familiarity with document control processes and indexing systems.
- Experience using Adobe Acrobat and cloud-based storage systems.
- Fast and accurate data entry skills.
- Understanding of quality, safety, or compliance documentation.
