Job Overview
In this contingent resource assignment, you will participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements within Operational Accounting.
Responsibilities
- Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements within Operational Accounting.
- Review and analyze basic or tactical Operational Accounting assignments or challenges requiring research and evaluation.
- Present recommendations for resolving low to moderately complex situations.
- Exercise independent judgment while adhering to function policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Provide information and support to client personnel in Operational Accounting.
- Support supplier onboarding and enablement processes, ensuring efficient and compliant procurement and payment practices.
- Handle unique supplier setup and maintenance requests tied to projects, including Early Pay Discount and Virtual Card initiatives.
- Maintain accurate system records and troubleshoot escalated issues from internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and resolve discrepancies between Ariba and PeopleSoft systems.
- Analyze risks, document procedures, and provide training to improve team performance.
- Work directly with suppliers to troubleshoot system modules and maintain accurate system records.
- Manage system clean-up projects, such as inactivating unused supplier locations and updating supplier records for compliance.
- Collaborate with various teams, including Sourcing, Contracts, Procurement, Accounts Payable, and Business Groups, to ensure successful supplier onboarding.
Qualifications
- 2 years of Operational Accounting experience or equivalent, demonstrated through work, consulting experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience with Ariba and PeopleSoft systems is preferred.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
