Operational Accountant

We are looking for an Operational Accountant to support daily financial activities and help maintain accurate accounting records for the business in Huntersville, North Carolina. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with transactional data, staying organized, and ensuring invoices, payments, and customer accounts are handled with precision.

Responsibilities

• Process employee expense reports and ensure timely reimbursement
• Perform daily accounting activities using QuickBooks Online and Zoho
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general bookkeeping functions
• Support month-end accounting processes and reconciliations
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Cross-train on order processing and provide backup support as needed
• Work collaboratively with operations and accounting to ensure accurate transaction processing
• Assist with process improvements and other operational accounting projects

Requirements

• Experience handling both accounts payable and accounts receivable responsibilities in a business setting
• Working knowledge of QuickBooks, including QuickBooks Online, for daily accounting and recordkeeping tasks
• Strong data entry skills with close attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
• Background in invoice processing and order entry within a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for maintaining records, organizing data, and supporting basic reporting needs
