About the Role

Feel the pride of history-making surgical care and join our high-profile team as an Operating Room Technician in Labor and Delivery. You will provide crucial support to physicians during a wide range of surgical procedures (e.g., bariatric, robotic, and ENT) and function as a scrub person, circulation assistant, and member of the surgical team. This role involves assisting in the care, preparation, and maintenance of supplies and equipment in the Operating Room.

This is a part-time, night shift position covering the hours of 11:00 PM – 11:00 AM at NewYork-Presbyterian Westchester Hospital in Bronxville, located across from the Metro North Station.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a scrub person, circulation assistant, and member of the surgical team.
  • Assist in the care, preparation, and maintenance of supplies and equipment in the Operating Room.

Requirements

  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the Association of Surgical Technologists or as a Surgical Technician by the National Board of Surgical Technician and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA). Certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
  • Must supply exam date prior to start of employment and complete a probationary period of six months from date of hire.
  • Completion of a certified Surgical Technologist, Operating Room Technician, or comparable training program.
  • Experience as an O.R. Technician/Surgical Technologist in an acute care setting (preferred).
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must live within a commutable distance to NYP (on-site presence required).

Pay

Salary Range: $41.55 - $50.65 per hour.

Schedule

Part-time, night shift: 11:00 PM – 11:00 AM.
