Operating Room Tech - Main OR

Position Qualifications

• Experience: Knowledge and application of surgical aseptic technique required.
• Knowledge and application of basic surgical procedures, instruments, equipment, physiology, microbiology, anatomy, and psychological processes required.
• Recent experience in Operating Room technology.
• Education and Training: High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred.
• Licenses, Certifications & Registrations: LPNCST - 1 of LPN or CST, Certified in Basic Life Support.
• Other Requirements: Ability to anticipate and meet the needs of the Surgical Team, verbal ability to use and understand medical terminology, ability to meet the needs of patients for safety, comfort, and reassurance, rotation on-call system participation required, may be required to rotate to weekends as needed, willingness to cross-train to Crane Center & Sterile Processing, willingness to function in other capacities needed for the department, capability for rapid and accurate movements of body and hands in response to visual and audio stimuli, ability to show competency in all surgical equipment used at BMC and Crane ORs.
