Operating Room Support Specialist, VNS - Part Time (Arizona)

About the role

LivaNova Neuromodulation is seeking an Operating Room Support Specialist to join their team. This position offers a unique opportunity to support the Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS) Therapy System, which is FDA-approved for the treatment of refractory epilepsy.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with neurosurgeons, epileptologists, and nurses to support case coverage for the VNS Therapy System
• Gain or know the local hospitals
• Be available to work with short notice (1-2 days), no more than 29 hours a week
• Reside within the territory
• Support Operating Room staff in product-related matters intraoperatively, including VNS diagnostics, troubleshooting, and programming assistance
• Communicate effectively to ensure smooth operations
• Understand the implantation, operating room, and credentialing process
• Provide procedural training as needed

Requirements

• BS/BA degree or clinical technical/operating room environment experience
• Ability to project a positive image
• Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office software
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and nonverbal skills
• Maintain all required necessary immunizations for healthcare employment as described above

Qualifications

• Subject matter expertise in the VNS Therapy System
• Knowledge of the Vagus Nerve Stimulator and its operation

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the hourly rate for this position is $60 per hour. Pay ranges may vary by location.
