About the role
LivaNova Neuromodulation pioneers the VNS (Vagus Nerve Stimulation) Therapy® system, advancing medical device solutions for patients affected by Drug-Resistant Epilepsy (DRE) and Difficult-to-Treat Depression (DTD). There are 3 million people in the U.S. alone with epilepsy, and one in three are drug-resistant. People with severe seizures have, on average, a shorter life expectancy and an increased risk of cognitive impairment, particularly if seizures developed in early childhood. VNS Therapy for DRE is delivered through a device that sends mild pulses to the vagus nerve at regular intervals to help prevent seizures.
Our Operating Room Support Specialists make a positive impact on the lives of patients living with epilepsy. Whether you are an experienced Nurse, Operating Room Support Specialist, or someone looking to enter the medical field, this is your opportunity to work in the OR collaborating with neurosurgeons, epileptologists, and nurses supporting case coverage for our VNS Therapy System, which is FDA-approved for the treatment of refractory epilepsy.
