Welcome to Baylor Scott & White Surgicare - North Garland and be part of a dynamic environment dedicated to delivering top-notch outpatient surgical services! We are currently searching for an OR Supervisor Registered Nurse to join our team.

Responsibilities

The OR Supervisor Registered Nurse is an integral part of the supervisory team at the Center. Position duties include:

  • Supervise the OR staff to provide a daily smooth flow of cases.
  • Assist in coordination of daily case scheduling in the O.R. with other staff to ensure schedule will flow smoothly.
  • Prepare, coordinate and perform monthly O.R. staff meetings for all OR techs.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians to resolve issues and provide efficiency and smooth case flow.
  • Work with Materials Manager to order instruments and equipment for cases.
  • Coordinate inventory semi-annually in all areas of the OR
  • Assist with OR education by coordinating and/or giving in-services.
  • Works closely with Clinical Director in hiring and orienting OR staff members.

Qualifications

Qualifications for the role include:

  • Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Baccalaureate degree preferred or work related experience.
  • Three (3) years experience in operating room.
  • Current RN License.
  • BLS and ACLS required.
  • Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, families and vendors.
  • Knowledgeable of surgery center policies and procedures specific to the operating room.
