About the Role

The RN Operating Room Supervisor oversees daily surgical operations in the main trauma OR to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality patient care. The role provides leadership and support to nursing and support staff, coordinates OR schedules, staffing, and patient flow, and ensures regulatory and safety compliance. The supervisor serves as a clinical resource and mentor, supports quality‑improvement initiatives, and collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize surgical services.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing and support staff within the trauma operating room.
• Coordinate OR schedules, staffing assignments, and patient flow to maintain efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols.
• Act as a clinical resource and mentor for staff members.
• Support and lead quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize surgical services.
• Manage performance and facilitate staff development.

Qualifications

• Current RN license.
• Minimum of three years of healthcare experience.
• CPR certification.

Preferred Skills

• BSN degree.
• Operating Room RN experience.
• Leadership experience.
• CNOR certification.
