Operating Room RN - PRN

Orchard Park Surgery Center is seeking a motivated OR Registered Nurse to join our team.

About the role

The OR RN assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for all age patients in the operating room. Provides care within nursing standards of practice and the policies of the Center. Makes decisions regarding direct patient care needs and communicates appropriate information to physicians, patients, family members, and personnel in other departments as well as team members. May have additional responsibilities as designated by the Nurse Manager of the Operating Room and/or Director of Nursing, which include, but are not limited to, serving on committees, participating in quality improvement audits and projects.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the operating room.
• Provide care within nursing standards of practice and the policies of the Center.
• Make decisions regarding direct patient care needs and communicate information to physicians, patients, family members, and other departments.
• Serve on committees and participate in quality improvement audits and projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Currently licensed in the state, or possess a compact license (must obtain state license within 90 days of hire if using a compact license).
• CPR certification required; advanced life support certification required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience in an intra-operative setting.
• Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.
• Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of the position.

Pay

$34–$53 per hour.
