About the role

The University of Virginia Department of Pediatrics and Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition invite applications for a non-tenure eligible clinical faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. The position is ideal for a highly motivated candidate with a strong interest in advancing his/her career through excellence in clinical practice, education, quality improvement, and advocacy. Rank and compensation are dependent upon qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical care in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition
  • Participate in the ACGME-accredited fellowship program
  • Contribute to research in areas such as global health
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives related to inflammatory bowel disease, pediatric liver transplant, and mental health in children with chronic illnesses
  • Collaborate with colleagues in Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric Radiology, Transplant Surgery, and adult Gastroenterology

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • An M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Eligibility for appointment to the University of Virginia faculty
  • Board certification or board eligibility in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition
