About the role
The University of Virginia Department of Pediatrics and Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition invite applications for a non-tenure eligible clinical faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. The position is ideal for a highly motivated candidate with a strong interest in advancing his/her career through excellence in clinical practice, education, quality improvement, and advocacy. Rank and compensation are dependent upon qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition
- Participate in the ACGME-accredited fellowship program
- Contribute to research in areas such as global health
- Engage in quality improvement initiatives related to inflammatory bowel disease, pediatric liver transplant, and mental health in children with chronic illnesses
- Collaborate with colleagues in Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric Radiology, Transplant Surgery, and adult Gastroenterology
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- An M.D. or D.O. degree
- Eligibility for appointment to the University of Virginia faculty
- Board certification or board eligibility in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition
