About the role

The University of South Florida (USF) Morsani College of Medicine, in partnership with Tampa General Hospital (TGH) Transplant Institute, is seeking a full-time academic pulmonologist specializing in Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD), Lung Transplant.

Responsibilities

  • Provides Critical Care and Pulmonary/Interstitial Lung Disease Services for the Center for Advanced Lung Disease at TGH and/or other affiliated hospitals and clinics.
  • Teaches by participating in the USF fellowship program and developing didactic teaching sessions, grand rounds, clinical teaching of residents and students.
  • Serves as the Program Director for the Interstitial Lung Disease Program with the Center for Advanced Lung Disease.
  • Engages in scholarly activities such as clinical research, quality improvement, and academic presentations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: Medical degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.
  • Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.
  • Preferred: Experience in Interstitial Lung Disease, Board Certified/Eligible in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary and Critical Care, Full/Unrestricted Florida Medical License or foreign equivalent required.
