About the role

Manages all recruitment and collection activities for clinical studies. Functions independently, strategizing directly with Principal Investigators (PIs). Responsible for daily execution of principal duties, project management, and administration including operational, budgetary, grant writing, communication, and research subject education components. Also responsible for direct supervision of all research coordinators.

Responsibilities

  • Develops detailed protocol documents that meet federal institutional standards.
  • Ensures study design's compatibility with clinical practices.
  • Provides critical input on feasibility of study design and available resources.
  • Ensures document consistency.
  • Develops and manages the clinical trial’s operating and capital budgets.
  • Leads ILD program staff recruitment, retention, training, and equitable assignment of coverage for NIH and pharmaceutical-sponsored studies.
  • Ensures ILD program quality control (e.g., adequate documentation and completion of assigned work by research assistants and fellows).
  • Develops and implements patient recruitment and retention strategies and goals.
  • Organizes and completes IRB and regulatory documents.
  • Tracks milestones, performs invoicing, and tracks study payments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years of research-related experience required.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to effectively supervise and train staff.
  • Excellent judgment and ability to interpret information and protocol.
  • Ability to make independent, effective decisions.
  • Aptitude for technical problem-solving.
  • Excellent organizational abilities to formulate and complete rigorous timetables.

Additional Details

This role is hybrid and based at 45 Francis Street. Scheduled weekly hours are 40.

Pay

$78,936.00 - $128,928.80/Annual
