Open Rank Faculty, Medical Director CMHA Program
Principal Functional Responsibilities
- Active participation in the Program Advisory Committee.
- Aid in recruiting clinical sites for the program and maintain regular communication with all involved entities.
- Advocate for the NEOMED Program and the Certified Mental Health Assistant profession to local and regional hospitals and health professions organizations.
- Aid in recruiting and interviewing program faculty and students.
- Aid in collecting and reporting metrics necessary for maintaining accreditation.
- Represent the program at professional and organizational events.
- Support recruiting efforts by the Director of Admissions as needed.
Teaching and Service Responsibilities
- Instruct students in the classroom and clinical settings.
- Assist in the development and continuous evaluation of the didactic and clinical curriculum to ensure standards of medical knowledge are met and educational experiences are consistent across clinical rotation sites.
- Assist in assessing student performance in both the classroom and clinical experiences.
- Participate in college and university committees as assigned.
- Maintain membership and active participation in state and national professional organizations.
Other Duties
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- M.D. or D.O degree from an accredited medical school.
- Successful completion of an accredited program of residency training in Psychiatry.
- Current unencumbered Ohio License to practice medicine.
- Board Certified in Psychiatry.
- Current DEA license.
- At least 5 years of experience teaching students or residents.
- Experience in teaching in a university-based undergraduate or graduate medical education setting.
- Experience coordinating the activity of and supervising clinicians.
- At least 10 years of clinical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Physical Requirements: Must be able to utilize a phone, computer, and screen and other office equipment.
