About the Role

Seeking a clinical psychologist to play a key role in training students in the APA/PCSAS-accredited Clinical Science doctoral program. Responsibilities include teaching core clinical seminars and supervising doctoral students in assessment and psychotherapy at the freestanding Seashore Psychology Clinic. Candidates eager for a Clinic Director leadership role are especially welcome.

Responsibilities

  • Teach core clinical seminars in the doctoral program.
  • Supervise doctoral students in assessment and psychotherapy.
  • Provide clinical supervision using in vivo and observation methods.
  • Implement evidence-based assessment and psychotherapy, including behavior therapy/exposure and transdiagnostic approaches (CBT, Unified Protocol, ACT, DBT).

Requirements

  • PhD in psychology or closely related field.
  • Licensed or license-eligible in Iowa.
  • Demonstrated promise in teaching and mentorship.
  • Leadership potential.
  • Experience with evidence-based assessment and psychotherapy.

About the Seashore Clinic

The Seashore Psychology Clinic provides low-cost, evidence-based mental-health care to the Iowa City community. Features include:
