About the Role
Seeking a clinical psychologist to play a key role in training students in the APA/PCSAS-accredited Clinical Science doctoral program. Responsibilities include teaching core clinical seminars and supervising doctoral students in assessment and psychotherapy at the freestanding Seashore Psychology Clinic. Candidates eager for a Clinic Director leadership role are especially welcome.
Responsibilities
- Teach core clinical seminars in the doctoral program.
- Supervise doctoral students in assessment and psychotherapy.
- Provide clinical supervision using in vivo and observation methods.
- Implement evidence-based assessment and psychotherapy, including behavior therapy/exposure and transdiagnostic approaches (CBT, Unified Protocol, ACT, DBT).
Requirements
- PhD in psychology or closely related field.
- Licensed or license-eligible in Iowa.
- Demonstrated promise in teaching and mentorship.
- Leadership potential.
- Experience with evidence-based assessment and psychotherapy.

The Seashore Psychology Clinic provides low-cost, evidence-based mental-health care to the Iowa City community. Features include:
