About the role
The Division of Cardiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is recruiting for an Open Rank faculty appointment in General Cardiology. The position is full-time clinical and includes outpatient cardiology care, inpatient attending duties or consult service, and teaching responsibilities for cardiovascular fellows, residents, and medical students. Additional responsibilities may include outreach clinic patient care and/or interpretation of advanced cardiac imaging studies.
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient cardiology care, including developing a referral practice
- Serve as attending on inpatient units or consult service
- Teach cardiovascular fellows, residents, and medical students
- See patients at an outreach clinic (if applicable)
- Interpret advanced cardiac imaging studies (if applicable)
Requirements
- MD degree
- Board Certified in Internal Medicine (ABIM)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to practice independently
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
- Interest and expertise in preventive cardiology, cardiovascular genetics, cardio-obstetrics, cardiac MRI, or cardio-oncology
- Track record in cardiovascular research
