About the role

The interventional service includes an Ensite equipped biplane electrophysiology laboratory (remodeled and set to re-open June 2026) and two separate Hybrid interventional rooms. The volume of catheter ablations is >300/yr with >50/yr of cardiac implantable device procedures. The outpatient service averages >2000 arrhythmia specific visits and there is close collaboration with the adult congenital heart disease service and cardiovascular genetics. Additionally, a formal relationship with the adult electrophysiology program at the University of Colorado has been established.

Responsibilities

  • Invasive electrophysiology (catheter based and device implant)
  • Participation with inpatient and outpatient consultations
  • Electrophysiology and pacemaker clinics
  • Participation in the training of fellows, residents, and medical students

Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate degree (MD or DO), Board Eligible in Pediatric Cardiology, Ability to obtain CO medical license, DEA certificate, 0-6 years of clinical experience in Pediatric Electrophysiology, interest in pursuing academic promotion, Completion of advanced training in Pediatric Electrophysiology
  • Preferred Qualifications: Relationship building with referring providers within Colorado and Seven State Region, Significant Pediatric experience in Cardiology/EP, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Interest in Research, Ability to collaboration with EP team to build the EP program, Strong communication skills, Must be able to collaborate with other sub-specialty areas within Cardiology

  • Preferred Qualifications: Doctorate degree (MD or DO), Board Eligible in Pediatric Cardiology, Ability to obtain CO medical license, DEA certificate, 10 or more years of clinical experience in Pediatric Electrophysiology, Completion of advanced training in Pediatric Electrophysiology, Proven experience with program development, teaching or research, Distinguished scholarship

Hiring Range: Assistant Professor: $278,011-$303,270 Associate Professor: $339,733-$378,037 Professor: $419,975-461,024
