About the role

The Department of Family Medicine at the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine (MCOM) is seeking a full-scope Family Medicine physician (no OB) to join our residency teaching clinic. Provide high-quality primary care, supervise resident clinics, and contribute to an engaging academic environment focused on team-based care and patient outcomes. This role has both inpatient and outpatient teaching and patient care components.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care in residency precepting, traditional family medicine clinics, hospital inpatient assignments, and other clinical duties as assigned.
• Teach residents and students in clinic, completing teaching duties including doctoring and participating in the education mission of the department.
• Engage in research opportunities within the Family Medicine Department and contribute to the research footprint for Family Medicine at USF MCOM.
• Perform clinical administrative duties, faculty administrative tasks, publication administration, and other administrative responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Medical degree from an accredited institution or the highest degree appropriate in the field of specialization with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.
• Board of Certification in Family Medicine.
• Understanding of academic medicine and faculty participation in the education mission of health professions.
• Current, or eligible, for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Florida.
