About the role
The Department of Craniofacial, Oral and Materials Sciences is a basic science department within the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. It seeks applicants with a PhD, MD/PhD, DDS/PhD (or equivalent) for an open rank tenure-track or tenured faculty position in any broadly-defined area of biomedical sciences with a research focus relevant to craniofacial and oral biology.
Responsibilities
- Establish or bring with them an extramurally-funded research program.
- Participate in limited dental student teaching and mentoring to graduate students.
- Attend and present at meetings and training to enhance professional skills and participate in faculty development activities.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications:
- A doctoral degree (PhD, MD, DDS/PhD) in a field related to biology from an accredited institution.
- Doctoral and/or postdoctoral training within the craniofacial biology field, broadly defined.
- Proven track record of national and/or international scholarship with recent and ongoing activity through peer-reviewed publications and presentations.
- Grant or fellowship funding is preferred.

Pay
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as:
- Assistant Professor: $125,000 - $145,000
- Associate Professor: $145,000 - $175,000
- Professor: $175,000 - $225,000
