OPEN RANK Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Diagnostic Imaging

About the role

The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for two faculty positions in small animal diagnostic imaging at the rank of clinical (non-tenure) or tenure track/tenured assistant, associate, or full professor.

Responsibilities

• Teach and provide service in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital
• Teach pre-clinical didactic and laboratory courses in diagnostic imaging to veterinary students
• Acively participate in the training of diagnostic imaging and other house officers
• Develop a research program, which can be independent and/or collaborative with other faculty members

Requirements

• All candidates must have a DVM or equivalent degree.
• All candidates must have completed an approved residency of the American College of Veterinary Radiology or the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging, and have board certification or be eligible for board certification.

Qualifications

• Salary and entry rank will be commensurate with the applicant’s experience and qualifications.
• The major responsibilities of this position are to teach and provide service in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, to teach pre-clinical didactic and laboratory courses in diagnostic imaging to veterinary students, to actively participate in the training of diagnostic imaging and other house officers, and to develop a research program, which can be independent and/or collaborative with other faculty members.
• Proportionate assignments for each area are based on the interests of the candidate, faculty assignment, and the missions of the Diagnostic Imaging program and the Department.
