About the role
Postdoctoral Scholar positions are occasionally available throughout the year in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of California, Irvine. These positions are under the sponsorship of the faculty members of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology in the Charlie Dunlop School of Biological Sciences.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to research projects aligned with faculty interests.
- Participate in seminars and workshops related to ecological and evolutionary biology.
- Collaborate with other researchers and students on interdisciplinary projects.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Ecology, Evolutionary Biology, or a closely related field.
- Strong publication record and research potential.
- Experience in relevant areas of ecology and evolutionary biology.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Benefits
The salary range for this position is $69,073 - $82,836. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by experience level. See Postdoctoral Scholar Scale for the salary range. “Off-scale salaries”, i.e. a salary that is higher than the published system-wide salary at the designated experience, are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions.
