Position Overview

Salary range: The salary range for this position is $69,073-$82,836. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table Postdoctoral Scholar Series - Experience Based Salary Scale “Off-scale salaries”, i.e. a salary that is higher than the published system-wide salary at the designated rank and step, are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions.

Position Description

Postdoctoral Scholar positions are occasionally available throughout the year in the Institute for Memory Impairments and Neurological Disorders (UCI MIND) at the University of California, Irvine. These are typically grant‐funded positions under the sponsorship of various faculty members. The ideal candidate should be self-driven and motivated. This position requires a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Biochemistry, Immunology or other related fields. Experience strongly preferred. Positions are dependent upon extramural funding. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Appointments are based on performance and availability of funding. Candidates are welcome to explain how they have contributed to inclusive excellence in their teaching, research, and service.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application): Requires a doctoral degree (e.g., Ph.D., M.D.) or the foreign equivalent.
