Open House - Passenger Service Agent / Part-Time

About the role

The Customer Service Agent will assist passengers with check-ins, verification, gate information, baggage claims, and other passenger issues in the airport. This individual must adhere to Menzies Aviation uniform guidelines and codes of conduct.

Responsibilities

• Assist passengers with check-ins, verification, gate information, baggage claims and any other passenger issues in the airport.
• Be enthusiastic and maintain a positive attitude while offering assistance.
• Host self-service kiosks and verify passengers’ documents prior to boarding aircraft.
• Interpret identification labels along with baggage and cargo routing tags.
• Ensure that all work areas are organized and functional (check-in, lobby, gate, baggage).
• Make announcements, check baggage, and assign seats in the gate area.

Requirements

• Must have a flexible schedule.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Computer skills are required as you will be using computer-based systems to perform some of your primary job duties.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time at the ticket counter and gate check-in areas.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.

Qualifications

• Must be able to proficiently read, write and speak English, excellent communication skills.
