Onsite Pharmacy Shipping Clerk (Indianapolis 7:00AM-3:30PM)

About the role

This role is located onsite and requires availability for our 7:00am - 3:30pm EST shift. The Pharmacy Shipping Clerk or Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for preparing outgoing shipments and receiving incoming shipments. Their duties include organizing inventory for easy retrieval as new orders come in, reviewing incoming and outgoing shipment schedules to maintain productive operations, and documenting damages to inventory.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Obtain and process orders including receiving deliveries, registering them, and distributing packages and letters within the company
• Maintain the company stockroom by organizing, cleaning, and cataloging items on a regular basis
• Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items and staff on hand to manage the shipments
• Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers
• Handle issues arising in shipping and inventory handling
• Troubleshoot shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and solve them
• Place merchandise in a storage system by packaging, lifting items as necessary, and operating lifting equipment and pallet jacks for large goods

Education And Experience

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Knowledgeable in computer applications
• Basic mathematics and computer skills
• Experience in retail or manufacturing preferred

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing
• Position requires the ability to bend, pull, or lift for the duration of the shift
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
