About the role

Hospital Referral Services has an opening in the Cleveland area, seeking self‑motivated professionals to join a growing team that helps uninsured or underinsured patients navigate assistance programs, including Medicaid and charity, at the bedside. Responsibilities

• Review the hospital work queue or census to identify uninsured patients.
• Screen/interview patients at bedside to determine possible eligibility for assistance programs including Medicaid and charity.
• Complete applications for Medicaid benefits and charity programs as needed.
• Maintain positive working relationships with co‑workers, hospital staff, and patients.
• Abide by HIPAA rules and regulations to protect patient privacy.
• Meet production goals and objectives assigned by hospital and management on a monthly basis.
• Maintain confidentiality of account information at all times.

Requirements

• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Reliable transportation.
• Good attendance and dependability.
• Successful completion of drug and background test.
• Annual flu shots and TB testing required.

Training

One week of classroom training covering HIPAA regulations, Revenue Group procedures, role‑playing, objections, systems, and procedures.

Pay

$16.25 per hour plus a $500 sign‑on bonus paid over the first 90 days and a monthly bonus of $0‑$350 after 90 days.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.
