Onsite Medicaid Eligibility Representative $500 Sign on Bonus

Pay

$17.50 per hour plus a monthly bonus ranging from $0 to $300 after 90 days. An additional $500 bonus is paid in installments over a 90‑day period.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm with a 30‑minute unpaid lunch break.

About the role

Hospital Referral Services (HRS) provides on‑site screening and assistance to patients who are uninsured or underinsured. The team guides patients through Medicaid and other charitable assistance programs so they can focus on recovery. HRS is seeking an Onsite Medicaid Screening Representative for Avita Ontario Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Review the hospital work queue or census to identify uninsured patients admitted to the Emergency Room.
• Screen and interview patients bedside to determine eligibility for Medicaid and charitable assistance programs.
• Complete applications for Medicaid benefits and charity programs as needed.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with co‑workers, hospital staff, and patients.
• Abide by HIPAA rules and regulations to protect patient privacy.
• Meet production goals and objectives assigned by hospital management on a monthly basis.
• Maintain confidentiality of account information at all times.
• Perform a high volume of walking and standing (approximately 70‑80% of the shift).

Requirements

• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to multitask and type at least 40 WPM.
• Reliable transportation.
• Good attendance and dependability.
• Successful completion of drug and background tests.
• Annual flu shots and TB testing required.
